Best Practices for gaining new members and keeping current members.

From the Grand Lodge Membership Chair.

From the Frances Cabrini Lodge #2723

We have found that keeping our meetings brief and our programs fun is the most effective way to keep our members coming back. Most of our business is conducted during the Council meetings. Our Council meetings are held in members homes. We have pot luck dinners during these meetings. During our Lodge meetings we present the Council's recommendations and decisions, then we move on to an entertaining program. We try to have food or food-related programs because, believe it or not, we love to eat! Making sure we have some socializing time is important. Our lodge is like an extended family to many of our members and we do our best to warmly welcome all new members into our family.

Has your Lodge had success with a plan to promote membership? If so, please contact our membership chair, Laura Frappollo at laura.frappollo@verizon.net. Send her your success story and she will post it to this web page for other Lodges to reference when they are looking for good ideas.

Grazie!
